Siu-Mei Hounsell holds a Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Monash University. Pragmatic and solutions-focused, she recognises that every person and situation is unique, taking the time to understand each client's circumstances and priorities.
She began her career at one of Australia’s leading top-tier commercial law firms, gaining experience in major corporate transactions and large-scale infrastructure projects. Keen to broaden her expertise, Siu-Mei subsequently held a mix of senior and executive roles in strategy and marketing, holding a mix of senior and executive roles and including advising some of Australia’s largest companies on consumer and marketing strategy.
In 2025, motivated by a desire to support individuals through one of life’s most personal and challenging times, Siu-Mei returned to legal practice to focus on family law. She is dedicated to ensuring her clients feel supported, informed, and confident throughout the process.

Outside of work, Siu-Mei enjoys spending time with her young family and travelling.
