What is an Accredited Specialist?

An Accredited Specialist is a solicitor who is recognised as an expert in their particular field by the Law Institute of Victoria.

Recognition requires at least five years 'full-time practice experience and at least three years' practice experience in the chosen area of specialisation.

The solicitor must also pass a comprehensive examination process and maintain a high degree of professional development in their area of specialisation.
