Nicky Neville-Jones

I have practised in family law since my admission after graduating with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Performing Arts (Theatre) from Monash University in 2011. During my studies at Monash I undertook law subjects at Monash University campuses in both Italy and Malaysia.

I attained an Accreditation specialising in Family Law from the Law Institute of Victoria in 2017 and that same year joined Clancy & Triado. I practise in all areas of family law including complex parenting and property matters, child support and spousal maintenance. I have appeared on behalf clients in the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court of Australia and state Magistrates Court in relation to matters concerning family violence.

I am currently the Deputy Chair of the Family Law Section Executive Committee of the Law Institute of Victoria having sat on this committee for 2 years. I am proactive member of this committee and am currently involved with policy work connected to the recent major changes proposed to the family law system.

I also sit on the Administrative Law and Human Rights Law Executive Committee of the Law Institute of Victoria and am the Chair of the Animal Welfare Committee. This committee is active in seeking law reform in Victoria to protect animal welfare.

When am not acting for my family law clients with care and compassion or passionately seeking reforms for our four-legged friends, you can find me “treading the boards” at one of the theatres around Melbourne. I currently sit on the committee for the lawyers performing arts production company “BottledSnail Productions” and recently directed their 2019 major production at Chapel Off Chapel in Prahran.
